Université des Sciences et Techniques de Masuku (USTM) is organizing an African Mathematical School (AMS) on “Mathematics for Cryptography & Robotics” in Franceville, Gabon from 02 to 14 April 2018. This school is supported by the African Mathematical Union (AMU), the International Center for Pure and Applied Mathematics (ICPAM/CIMPA) and the Pole of Research in Mathematics and their Applications in Information Security (PRMAIS).
There will be 3 courses :
- Jacobian varieties, discrete logarithm, Diffie-Hellman key exchange, Elgamal cryptosystem and an introduction to semi-algebraic geometry by Tony Ezome (Francville, Gabon),
- Robot kinematics in two parts by Jean-François Brethé (Le Havre, France) and Rolland Assoumou Nzue (Franceville, Gabon),
- p-adic fields and number fields by Christian Maire (Besançon, France).
And there will be a great and large talk by Marie-Françoise Roy (Emeritus Professor in Rennes, France) on semi-algebraic geometry and applications, in particular in robot kinematics. Applications for master and PhD students are open until February 15, 2018. Please, provide
